In February 2009, Landscape Environs was awarded the Landscaping Contract for AAMI Stadium in conjunction with SANFL & QED Architects.
The project consisted of the soft & hard Landscaping components to Brebner Drive, creating an entry statement to the stadium involving 900m of Streetscape.
The works comprised the following components:
- The transplanting of existing Phoenix canariensis and the sourcing of new to match existing.
- Tree protection to existing Allocasuarinas
- New instant turf
- Exposed aggregate paths
- New Garden beds with concrete edging
- Advanced tree planting
- Automatic irrigation systems to supply turf & garden areas
The Project was staged so as to provide continual access to the public. The project was completed within 8 weeks. This involved the Co-ordination with SANFL ground staff & other trades to create a smooth progression.
Landscape Environs was able to provide the Client with a complete start to finish approach, completing the project well within the time frames & budget allocations.
Special provisions were required in order to protect the new Landscape from vehicle & pedestrian traffic, whilst maintaining access at all times.
