Safety & Health Policy

Landscape Environs Pty Ltd is committed to eliminating work place injuries and illness, and providing a safe and healthy working environment for employees, subcontractors and the public.

We are certified to AS/NZS 4801:2001, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

Our philosophy for safety and health is to have all workplaces injury-free.

To achieve this we will undertake the following:

• Provide a consistent approach to all safety and health matters
• Promote a culture where personal responsibility for safety and health is required
• Ensure safety and health training is available and accessible to all employees
• Promote a culture of safety and health excellence and continuous improvement through communication, consultation and ownership
• Comply with all relevant safety and health legislation
• Implement a safety and health risk management system to identify incident trends and causes
• Ensure that subcontractor, labour hire and visitor safety and health is made as important as that of our own employees
• Provide rehabilitation support and services to employees in the event of a work related incident or illness
• Ensure that every employee goes home from work as healthy as they arrived
• Foster a supportive safety and health culture through visible and accountable leadership
• Ensure that this Policy and its objectives are effectively implemented within the organisation

Environmental Policy

Landscape Environs Pty Ltd is committed to environmental sustainability. We balance our economic and operational requirements with our social responsibilities to reduce the impact on the environment. Continual improvement in environmental performance is a key aspect to our commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

We are certified to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004, Environmental Management Systems.

To achieve our environmental objectives we will undertake the following:

• Comply with environmental laws applicable to our business and meet or exceed all relevant statutory obligations
• Encourage ethical environmental practice and behaviour including respect for cultural and community values
• Communicate this policy to all company personnel, contractors and clients through induction, education and training to promote environmental responsibility and obligations
• Assess environmental risks and implement appropriate risk management programs to continually improve environmental performance across our business and projects
• Promote the efficient use of energy, reduction of waste and recycling of materials in all of our business activities
• Promote a culture of innovation and participation engaging our employees to contribute to improving the company’s environmental performance
• Periodically review this policy and the environmental management system to ensure both remain relevant to our business.

All employees are to be made aware of this policy and are required to actively work towards achieving its objectives in their specific area of responsibility.
